June 2: ‘Confronting Wage Theft’

The University of Minnesota Labor Education Service and Workday Minnesota are teaming up with a group of worker organizations to host “Confronting Wage Theft” on Thursday, June 2, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Deloitte Classroom of Hanson Hall, 1925 4th St. S., on the West Bank of the University of Minnesota’s Minneapolis campus. The event follows up on the recent Workday Minnesota series on wage theft and is intended to keep a public focus on a crisis that needs to be solved in a way that empowers workers and supports organizing. Sponsors include CTUL, Centro de Trabajadores Unidos en Lucha / Center of Workers United in Struggle; North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters; Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation; SEIU Healthcare Minnesota; SEIU State Council and the University’s Center for Human Resources and Labor Studies.
