Forum examines health care crisis

Are you concerned about the issue of health care? The St. Paul Trades & Labor Assembly is hosting a forum called Evaluating the Candidates? Health Care Plans: What Should We Look For?

The forum will be held Thursday, June 19, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the St. Paul Labor Centre, 411 Mahoney (aka Main) St. It is free and open to the public.

Speakers will include State Senator Linda Berglin; Jim Koppel, Director, Children?s Defense Fund; Paul Ogren, President, Aristone; Mark Anderson, Senator Wellstone?s Health Policy Analyst; and Erin Murphy, Executive Director, Minnesota Nurses Association.

They will examine the proposals put forth by presidential candidates and discuss what criteria should be used in determining a good plan.
