ST. PAUL ? The Minnesota House of Representatives is seeking changes to state election laws that opponents say make it harder, not easier, to register and vote this November.

Requirements raise fears of voters being turned away
ST. PAUL ? Critics see potential problems under the federal Help America Vote Act (HAVA) and the state?s reaction to it. Basically, they fear that eligible voters will be denied their right to cast a ballot ? intentionally or not.

New law expands paperwork, headaches
ST. PAUL ? The federal Help America Vote Act requires that voters now include their drivers license number, a state identification number, or the last four digits of their Social Security number when they register to vote.
