Friday is deadline for Women’s Retreat scholarships and child care

| MINNEAPOLIS - Friday, March 1, is the deadline to apply for scholarships and sign up for child care for the Minnesota Union Women's Retreat, April 24-26, at Ruttger's Lodge and Conference Center in the Brainerd Lakes area. |
Under the theme “Raising Women’s Voices for Solidarity,” the retreat will provide the opportunity to analyze the challenges facing women in the labor movement and help them build the confidence and skills to address them. It is sponsored by the University of Minnesota Labor Education Service.
The scholarship application can be downloaded from this link or e-mail the LES office to have one sent to you. Deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Friday.
If you may require child care at the retreat, please call 612-624-5020 or e-mail with the number and ages of the children. Contact LES even if you have not yet registered for the retreat so LES can plan for adequate staffing. Child care is provided free of charge, but Ruttger's charges a room and board fee for children age 4 and older. More information on lodging is available from Ruttger's at 1-800-450-1350.
