Workers ratify first contract at Co-op Partners Warehouse
7 October 2012
SOUTH ST. PAUL - Workers at the Co-op Partners Warehouse (Wedge Co-op) have ratified a three-year agreement which included $1.50 wage increase over the life of the agreement and paid holidays, their union announced.
Health Insurance, including dental and vision, was included in the agreement.

The warehouse workers voted in March to join the United Food & Commercial Workers Local 1189 to get a voice at work. The workers were supported by many Wedge Co-op members in their contract campaign and are appreciative of the support from the community.

“We look forward to building a stronger union with our new brothers and sisters at Co-op Partners Warehouse, and plan on continuing to organize food workers in processing, warehousing, and retail settings,” said Don Seaquist, president of Local 1189.
