Upcoming events showcase workers who built Capitol

A radio interview and a presentation are the latest in a series of events for the Labor Education Service’s Who Built Our Capitol? project.

On Thursday, Oct. 23, at noon on WJON AM 1240, radio host Jim Maurice will interview project director Randy Croce. Excerpts from the interview also will be featured throughout the day. WJON broadcasts in the St. Cloud area. You can also listen live online.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, Croce will make a presentation on the research for the Who Built Our Capitol? documentary and website at 1 p.m. in Room 25 on the ground floor of the State Capitol building.

A tour of the building will follow, ending about 3:30 p.m..  For more information, see the notice on the Capitol website, including admission cost and a link for required advance registration.

Who Built Our Capitol? reveals the untold story of the contractors and workers who built the Minnesota statehouse — not only trades people on site, but railroad, quarry and other workers across the state and nation. Learn more at the project website.
