Twin Cities Labor Chorus invites new members

Ever thought of joining the Twin Cities Labor Chorus? The new year is a great chance to do it.

Newcomers are invited to explore membership during an open house on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Carpenters Hall, 730 Olive St., Saint Paul.

The chorus is expanding its ranks as it prepares for a 2016 appearance at the Western Workers Labor Heritage Festival in California.

The chorus is made of union members, allies and retirees who join together to exercise the power of music and communal singing. The group sings at rallies and picket lines, at labor events, and in support of social justice campaigns throughout the Twin Cities.

The chorus does not require auditions and is free to join. Members rehearse on the second, fourth and fifth Tuesdays of the month.
