Industrial unions plan manufacturing summit

The Minnesota Industrial Union Council plans a “Manufacturing Summit” to highlight the need to build a strong manufacturing future for the state.

The summit will be held Friday, Aug. 21, and Saturday, Aug. 22, at the CWA Local 7200 hall, 3521 E. Lake St., Minneapolis.

Organizers said the summit will bring together unions, policymakers and community members to strengthen industrial union participation in expanding Minnesota’s manufacturing economy, develop Minnesota’s industrial union talent and skill development pipeline and mobilize industrial union member participation in organizing and direct action.
